Application System Optimisation
TSLAC professionals have studied application systems based on topographic data analysis, integrated with Trial Sets in different configurations of design, curvature and diameter. The main objective is to identify the most suitable lens, the one that offers the best balance between respect for corneal morphology and visual recovery.
Each type developed by TSLAC is the result of consolidated experience and continuous exchange between the manufacturer and the applicator. The different geometries proposed take into account numerous variables to achieve optimal adaptation to the corneal profile in the various stages of ectasia.
KE - Spherical Four-Curve
Recommended for first and second stage cones with a central or para-central apex. Excellent results are obtained with the apical touch technique and a clearance of approximately 15µm. The BOZD is small to medium in size and the recommended diameter is between 9.00 and 9.60mm.
KG - Spherical Four-Curve
Indicated for stage 3 and 4 ectasia, with central or para-central apex. The BOZD is small and the ideal fitting requires the use of reduced diameters for intra-palpebral applications with apical lifting: expected clearance 20/25µm.
K - Custom Multicurve (4C, 5C)
Recommended for different stages of development, they are compatible with all construction parameters (diameters and curvatures). For effective use, it is necessary to perform corneal topography and integrate the virtual fitting project with the application of PILOTA lenses.
