Sector Modules and Free-Form Technologies
Sector-specific modules, or ‘quadrant-specific’ modules, are essential for reducing application risks associated with the asymmetry of irregular corneas, a phenomenon that can cause instability and reduced centring of RGP lenses.
Thanks to Free-Form turning technologies, which use the oscillating movement of the tool and are integrated with CAD-CAM design software, it is possible to associate a specific curvature with each half-meridian (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°). This allows Specialty lenses to be produced with an exclusive design, optimising adaptation to individual needs.
ASIM range
To manage the multitude of situations and different clinical aspects, we have developed ASIM Free-Form asymmetrical sector designs, modules that customise the design of the RGP, corneal or scleral lens according to the type of requirement.

Asymmetrically developed scleral lenses
These types are based on specific application protocols and require the support of professional services in assessing their effectiveness and feasibility.
Instructions for use and construction options
To achieve a personalised fit, all geometries can be prescribed in terms of curvature data and diameters of the different areas. They can be made with a spherical or toric inner optical zone, to which a frontal cylindrical correction can be added. All lenses are stabilised with a high-definition synthetic ballast prism.
